These two southern California Wilderness areas, in the Cleveland National Forest, total approximately 55,000 acres. This area ranges from 1,700 to 5,000 feet in elevation in moderate to steep terrain. Vegetation is chaparral at lower elevations changing to oak, pine and fir forests at higher elevations. Best time to visit is spring and fall. |
