The original 2002 rock-climbing guide, "Hidden Treasures," covered the entire San Bernardino Mountains. This new volume, "Hidden Treasures East," covers the eastern half of the mountains, from Big Bear Dam east to the Granite Mountains, north to Big Pine Campground and south to Barton Flats. This area is naturally divided by Big Bear Lake. Subsequently, the two areas are broken into crags, including the ever-popular Holcomb Valley Pinnacles. Big Bear South is home to more traditional crags, including Black Bluff and Castle Rock.

Over 700 Routes in 30 different crags!

Areas include Big Bear North,  Fawnskin Crags, Fawnskin Tower, Hanna Rocks, Legoland, Coven, Pinnacle With A View, Delamar Mountain, Holcomb Creek and Environs, Holcomb Creek Tower, World Cup Tower, To Be Announced, Holcomb Valley Crags, John Bull Crag, Holcomb Valley Pinnacles, Southern Pinnacles, Central Pinnacles, Western Pinnacles, Northern Pinnacles, Tanglewood Slabs,  Jacoby Canyon, Highway 38/18 Crags, Gateway Rock, North Shore Boulders, Quartzite Bands, Blackhawk Pinnacle, Big Bear South, Icebox Canyon/Fisherman's Buttress, Castle Rock, Sleepy Bear Towers, Castle Grey Skull, Arctic Temple, Black Bluff, Siberia Creek, Onyx Summit, 8,000 Foot Crag, Coon Creek Crag/Mt.
