Maruba - Homesteading in Lanfair Valley

The book was authored by Lanfair Valley homesteader Maud Sharp and was originally published in 1984 under the same title. It is one of our most popular titles and has been out of print for many years – until now.

This expanded second edition is new in several ways. It contains many historical photographs, a foreword and annotations by renowned desert historian, Dennis Casebier, a map of Lanfair Valley homesteads, a chronology covering the homesteader period, and an extensive index. Most importantly, a second section of six chapters on the Lanfair School has been added, written by Maud's daughter, Margaret Sharp Moore.
